Contemplating the beauties of mystery…
In Wonder
In worlds of wishes
Life invested in wonder

Contemplating life and struggle…
Maybe If I
Bend and touch your nose
To what???! Well maybe if I
Lie and my nose grows

Contemplating life…
Just a Nuisance
Not into my lungs
This cold’s been just a nuisance
My nose runs and runs

Contemplating life…
It Is the Way
Stumbling in the dark
It is the way of all life
And not just a lark

In contemplation of the fight…
Holding Him
The fighter will bow
But he needs teammates’ support
Holding him up’s how

In contemplation…
Excerpted from – Green It Sheds
Why doesn’t grass change to orange or red?
When the fall colors turn
To brilliant hues that burn
Gorgeous trees. What grass should do instead…

Contemplating the right…
The Man
A badge and a gun
Does that mean you are the man?
Right must still be done

In contemplation…
Billowing Sails
What the world will see
Is but billowing sails but
Drifting on the sea

Every Breath
Finally there is death
Ere then so much pain and joy
Life in every breath

In contemplation…
Hard to Go
After thirty years it’s hard to go
But life unfolds in its own mysterious way
Though one thing’s known as he stands to face this new day
The unfolding will be forward so
The looking back will be for fun
The challenge and the life to live remain out there
Or here. Just as he left land for adventure flying at sea
Now he sends those he’s taught to find their own way in the Navy
In leading them to do so he must himself dare
New footsteps just as if he were young
So new adventures begin to show
That life is always onward and into the fray
And his manner is to embrace it come what may
Still, it’s hard to go
