Contemplating foolishness and epiphany…
Waking From
As if from a dream
Waking from ego’s folly
Once again redeemed

Ring any bells? Let us know what you think…
Contemplating purpose…
It Will Happen
It’s happened before
And it will happen again
Need new worlds before
Moons and Dinosaurs
Or we roll the dice
Moons and dinosaurs attest
Do we go for thrice?

Contemplating loss…
About Justice
A baby passes
I wonder about justice
And the randomness of how the fates will press
Themselves in upon the quiet lives of the masses
These are not questions
That will bear any good fruit
Only descending into dark depression
Or maybe worse spiraling off into delusion
Chosen for higher pursuit
Is a temptation
Dangerous clashes
Driven by those called to test
The limits of fate then forgetting about justice
No, it is just sad when a baby passes

Contemplating reality and our role in it…
Truths Streaming
Our realities ponder
The training
Is that backwards? Which way are the truths streaming?
These some of the strange paths upon which my thoughts wander
We create
Ourselves thru the drills
And we are what happens on the other side
Or is it the other way round that decides?
The training develops itself thru us when it fills
Us with trained reactions that do not abate
Over time and leagues yonder
Is that backwards? Which way are the truths streaming?
Or is it reality’s simply feigning?
I wonder

Contemplating enlightenment…
In the World
Wind blows in my face
And not a care in the world
Moments of true grace

Contemplating freedom, and not…
Our Shores
Freedom rings
And not just a phrase
While less than perfect these days
This country of ours is still the one that brings
To its shores
Those suffering oppression
For all around the world they still venture here
When it is for their lives and for their hopes that they fear
For refugees the premier destination
Is our shores
Despite whatever fears the media flings
About our liberties in decay
Those without come here to stay
Yes, freedom still rings

Contemplating fate and the wonder of being left alive…
Excerpted from – One Of Them Should Be Dead
… Drawn down. “Kill me,” she pled
Shotgun jerked. With fear eyes went wide
One of them surely should have died
Leaving the walk stained red
Just luck no round chambered
Held his fire, when he should have shot
Twelve gauge aimed at him and its trigger pulled …

Contemplating truth and commitment…
Peaceful Protest
Savoring each breath
In a monk’s peaceful protest
Burned himself to death

Contemplating wonder…
One Hand Clapping
When the truth you’ve found
The sound of one hand clapping
Is the most profound

Lonely Spirits
A cool running stream
Refreshes lonely spirits
See you in my dreams
